SGMA - Sustainable Groundwater Management Act

Butte Water District is one of eleven independent Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSA) who have signed a cooperation agreement to develop, adopt and implement a single Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the Butte Subbasin. Butte Water District is also part of the Sutter Subbasin and is working with Sutter County and other GSAs in Sutter County to develop a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the Sutter Subbasin.
